Friday’s Favs

I’ve been slacking on the favs for the past few weeks. Not because I forgot about you guys, that would just be crazy – but because my brain wasn’t happy enough to think of things that were great from my week. It’s been a rough couple of weeks over here with struggling with work and the job search but hopefully things are starting to look up. I mean, they must be because I have some great favorites to share, along with a quote that stuck with me. Happy Friday friends, hope you all have a lovely weekend!

“This is the real secret of life: to be completely engaged with what you are doing in the here and now. And instead of calling it work, realize it as play” — Alan Watts

Friday’s Favs

It was a busy whirlwind of a week: traveled to a different timezone, discovered what 20 degree weather feels like, realized that sour patch kids do not make a very decent dinner (as much as I would like them to) and that I am happy to be home. Chicago is a very cool place (pun intended) and pics on the awesome architecture and amazing pizza will be coming next week, but here are a couple snapshots from my week. All I can say is I am ready for the weekend, and so glad it’s not cold in SF! What are your weekend plans?

Friday’s Favs

Heading to LA today and I’m really excited! We have some girl jams (Mariah obviously), some show tunes and our 90s favs lined up for the drive down! Tomorrow we are going to do a little exploring – neither of us have spent much time in LA – maybe the Santa Monica Beach or Hollywood? Who knows where the wind will take us – sometimes its fun not to have anything planned! If you have any suggestions I would love to hear them! Hope your weekend takes you to unexpected places!
